The National Fibromyalgia Foundation seeks a Development Associate to support all fundraising efforts for our growing and innovative organization.
Who We Are
Supporting research to find the cause, treatment, and/or cure for Fibromyalgia. Actively create awareness about the disease. Provide resources for people who have Fibromyalgia (FMS) or who know somebody with FMS. It is estimated that 12 million people have FMS.
We realize our mission through:
• Collaborative research projects and clinical studies in order to further the understanding of FMS and closer to finding treatment and/or cure.
• Provide resources and information on our website which helps people who have Fibromyalgia and family and friends to better understand and cope with this disease.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Establish and maintain the donor cultivation cycle and gift stewardship program to ensure that new major donors are developed, have opportunities to increase their level of support annually, and enjoy a close relationship to the station.
• Serve as a key liaison with staff and board. Work with the committee to develop levels of support. Develop strategies to facilitate personal solicitation of prospects of the board.
• Prepare written materials, including correspondence, solicitation materials, acknowledgements, and regular communications as part of the stewardship program. Prepare marketing materials, including brochures, articles, ads, and coordinate on-air announcements.
• Develop and execute sound strategies for acquiring and retaining individual donors, meeting and exceeding annual growth goals, including mailings, major donor campaigns, etc.
• Updates donor database with notes, strategic plans, contact reports, tasks, etc. to ensure most current and relevant information is available
• Supervise the appropriate use of donor software, ensuring donor privacy, data accuracy and timeliness of reporting.
• Plans, organizes, coordinates and manages daily activities to support gift solicitation efforts.
• Learn and adhere to state and federal revenue reporting regulations.
• Other related duties as needed and assigned.

REQUIRED SKILLS:
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Excellent personal and written communications
• Knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, spreadsheet programs and general familiarity with database programs.
