Max and Corey are both happy and full of energy, playful and friendly with strangers and children, and enjoy being near to soak up any and all attention you're willing to give them. They enjoy being brushed, have belly rubs, and just hanging out on the sofa—as long as you're around! They absolutely LOVE going on walks and are great walking companions. They stay in the laundry room at night and when their foster parents must be away from home. Corey and Max love each other and must be together or they become very anxious and upset, and a single crate isn't large enough to leave them for long, so an X-pen or enclosed area will work just fine. They protest a little, then quiet down and take naps. Corey and Max enjoy being outside on a sunny day and Corey loves to run just from sheer joy---she's quite the ham! They seem to be reliably housetrained and have had no accidents while in foster care. Their foster mom can think of no really bad habits that need behavior modification---how great is that!!! Well, they are afraid of the vacuum cleaner and try and hide---so maybe a little work with the vacuum is warranted.

Corey and Max are not only beautiful, but are happy, friendly, and pure delight to have around. If you have room for two big, beautiful standard doxies and have lots of love to give, look no further! They are both 8 years young and have plenty of life to bring joy and bless you for many years to come! Update from Redbone's Foster Mom! :Redbone is just a special , delightful little boy. He has a very calm, laid back personality and always seems content. He likes everyone who comes to visit and doesn't seem to have a preference to male or female. He also gets along GREAT with kids! He loves to be outside in the sun, play ball, scuffle with his companions, or just relax with a rawhide. Redbone is very bright and alert. Sometimes when he’s outside, I see him just sitting and looking around, taking things in. He obeys very well and will “come“ no matter which dog I call. His biggest accomplishment is he has learned to “back up” and stay clear of the doorway rather than slipping outside.!!! Redbone is so very loving and cuddly. He climbs up into my lap and gives me sweet puppy kisses, then snuggles up close and falls asleep. He prefers my bed at night, and after a little cuddling will burrow under the covers and sleep. Be prepared because he seems to need a “lot” more of the bed than anyone else!

REDBONE was turned into a shelter in AL as a stray, we are not sure why because he is the sweetest of sweet dogs. The only thing we can figure is he has a high prey drive and could have gotten out of a fence or door when the gate or door were opened. Since being with his foster mom, Redbone has not tried anything crazy to get out of the door but just to be on the safe side, we think he would be better with a family with children over the age of 7 so doors aren't being left open by mistake. He is house broken and just gets along with everyone younger dogs and humans. Just a little shy at first but gets over that quickly.

Long, lean, leggy and oh so lovable! I call Redbone my " cuddle baby". Pull him onto your lap and he curls up into the smallest ball possible and drifts off into a contented sleep. At night he loves to crawl under the cover and curl up against my stomach. Such a little sweetie! He has the prettiest long face and eyes that just glisten. He's young still and loves to play with the other dogs. He has a tender heart and I often see him checking on one of the other dogs or giving them kisses.

If you have a companion for him, clear a spot and just laugh at the rolling, tumbling, energetic play. It's so much more fun than TV!!! But he's also well behaved and will entertain himself with a chew bone or nap when I'm occupied. We are working on the occasional accident and he needs work with learning the normal commands. He has however learned to move clear of the door way and not escape! Redbone is very bright and has caught on quickly to things in his new environment. He's a wonderful young lad who will make a fantastic addition to his forever family.
